OKLAHOMA CITY — A moderate earthquake early Saturday in central Oklahoma knocked pictures off walls and woke people and pets as it shook an area that stretched into Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Texas. The U.S.

The 5.6 magnitude earthquake that rocked Oklahoma on Saturday night was felt as far north as Wisconsin. That's according to witness reports made to the federal government. The earthquake hit Oklahoma at 10:53 pm Saturday and the Journal Sentinel

Parts of Oklahoma were hit with another earthquake late Saturday night, and it was strong enough to have been felt by many in North Texas.

My two friends and I have to do a hip hop dance for P.E. It has to be approximately 3 minutes long and it must be to a song that’s appropriate. None of us are dancers. Does anyone have a link to a website or video or something that gives ideas or even a specific dance? We are allowed to take it from somewhere. Crank That is out of the picture. And it would be better if it is an easy dance to learn.

Google Cleans Up Gmail With New Design, Better Search

Google is rolling out a new design for Gmail over the next few days. It features more white space, less clutter, threaded conversations, new themes, and better search.

Messages aren’t as bunched up as before and easier to read. Adding a social element, Google is adding profile pictures beside each message, and the labels pop out more. The density of the text also adjusts depending on your screen size and resolution, making it easier on the eyes. The new design is in line with some of the changes Google just made to Google Reader in terms of spacing and overall feel.

Conversations are more threaded than before, not just lumped together, so you can actually follow the back and forth. Gmail is also prettying itself up with a host of new themes with background images from iStockPhoto. It is not clear what, if any, G+ integrations there will be.

But one of the biggest changes is the search UI. When you begin typing in the email search box a window pops up with advanced search options to help you refine your search by recipient, sender, subject line, date range, and so on. I think I still prefer the single box and let Google figure out what I mean, but I’ve noticed that it is getting more and more difficult to find emails. (Having more than 200,000 unread emails probably doesn’t help). Getting those advanced search options without having to click to another page might do the trick. I hope.

Google has shown previews of this before and the video below leaked out a couple weeks ago, but is no longer blocked.

Scarlett Johansson has laughed off the scandal, in which nude pictures of her were leaked on the Internet.

Happy Halloween? Not if decorative contacts hurt your eyes

(CBS) Decorative contacts might make for a terrific Halloween costume. But the FDA has issued a warning to consumers, saying that the contacts can cause potentially blinding eye problems.

Case in point: Laura Butler, a woman who dropped $30 on a pair of blue lenses at a beach souvenir shop, which resulted in $2,000 in medical bills and almost cost her her eyesight. No instructions came with the lenses, and the store didn’t sell solution, so she just popped them. Soon after, she felt excruciating pain – and it took her nearly 20 minutes to remove the lenses, which had stuck to her eyeballs like suction cups.

“The doctor said it was as if someone took sandpaper and sanded my cornea,” she says. “He said he wasn’t going to sugar-coat it, that I could lose my eyesight or could lose my eye.”

She was treated for seven weeks and had dropping eyelid for five months, and to this day has decreased vision.

In addition to the trauma, decorative lens wearers also might get an infection from unsterile lenses that results in an ulcer on the cornea. Ill-fitting contact lenses might deprive the cornea of nutrients and oxygen, which would lead to “tight lens syndrome,” which can be very uncomfortable, according to the National Eye Institute.

“Bacterial infections can be extremely rapid, result in corneal ulcers, and cause blindness–sometimes within as little as 24 hours if not diagnosed and treated promptly,” FDA optometrist Dr. Bernard Lepri, said in a written statement. “The problem isn’t with the decorative contacts themselves,” he added. “It’s the way people use them improperly – without a valid prescription, without the involvement of a qualified eye care professional, or without appropriate follow-up care.”

What’s Butler’s message for folks considering decorative contacts this Halloween?

Don’t buy fashion lenses. If you do, she said “Take the time to go to the doctor, pay the extra money, and save yourself the agony.”

NO, jet ski motors are “water cooled” , if I’m not mistaken!
The motor application you want to use it in is “air cooled”.
I would call your local “boy toy shop” and talk to them about it!
And , keep in mind if you can use it, ask them what mods will cost you.
It might not pay to “mod it”, vs. Get a “different/proper” motor.

I have seen miniature air boats before. But they were homemade they were pretty cool but dangerous extremely easy to flip if you don’t know what you are doing.

Penn State coach Joe Paterno earns record 409th victory

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The snow was falling at a steady rate from the steel gray skies and the visibility was almost zero here early yesterday afternoon as a freak Nor’easter rolled through the mountains to cover this picturesque college town in a blanket of white.

Penn State’s 84-year coach Joe Paterno wisely decided against braving the elements and coached his team during a dramatic 10-7 victory over Illinois from the safety and warmth of the press box that overlooking an estimated crowd of just 62,000 at Beaver Stadium.

The sidelines are no longer safe for this Lion in winter. He has been hurting ever since he sustained hairline fractures of his pelvis and hip when he was hit by a wide receiver Devon Smith during an early season practice and for the first time is admitting it.

Paterno knows coaching from the box is not sustainable and that it is too dangerous for him on the sidelines, especially the way undergraduates were whipping snowballs at the cheerleaders, officials and players like they were at a Giants game.

Paterno has coached just two halves of two games from field level this season. The last time he tried it, he had to be pulled out of the way from Iowa wide receiver Marvin McNutt by 400-pound graduate assistant Gus Felder during the first half of a home game Oct. 8 and had to retreat inside.

Paterno has been the head coach here for 47 years and has forged a Hall of Fame career, surpassing Eddie Robinson as the winningest coach in Division I history with 409 career victories with his latest win. But even football gods have their limitations. Paterno has coached 21 games from the press box in the past six years because of myriad injuries.

Penn State gave him a moment to remember against the Illini when running back Silas Redd scored on a three -yard touchdown with just 1:08 to play as Penn State’s anemic offense finally came to life during an 80-yard game winning drive. The Lions held on when Illinois’ Derek Dimke missed a potential game -tying 42-yard field goal attempt on the final play of the game. “We’re not killing people,” Paterno said. “We’re not running over them. We struggle, but this team has a lot of character.” Afterwards, Penn State president Dr. Graham Spanier honored Paterno with a commemorative plaque in a presentation that could be seen by the fans on the giant stadium scoreboard.

“Eddie Robinson and Jake Gaither of Florida A & M were the two guys who opened the doors for African American men when there was no place for them to play,” Paterno said. “For me, coming from Brooklyn, being the grandson of an immigrant, it means a lot.”

Penn State is a surprising 8-1 and 5-0 in the Leaders Division. The Lions still have a schedule that is back-loaded, finishing up with a game against Nebraska here and road trips to Ohio State and Wisconsin. But for now, the older, increasingly cynical fan base, who are paying seat licensing fees in addition to the cost of their seats, are happy.

Paterno’s contract is technically up at the end of this season, but consider everything he has done to raise the profile of State U. with his grand experiment: He has proven he can go undefeated and even win national championships with true student athletes, and he led the fundraising efforts to build the school library that bares his name and that of his wife Sue. No one, not even Spanier, has the necessary political clout to tell this bigger-than-life figure it’s time to gracefully step aside.

There should be no shortage of candidates to replace Paterno if the arthritis in his hip gets worse and he is not physically capable of continuing. This will not be like replacing John Wooden, who won 10 national men’s basketball championships at UCLA. Penn State has never dominated the Big Ten under Paterno and is coming off an injury wracked 7-6 season in 2010. Empty seats have become common.

But a rebuild should not be hard. Penn State is one of the biggest brands in the sport. The tradition is in place, as is the athletic budget and sized 106,572 seat stadium. The facilities and fertile recruiting area are conducive to a winner.

Finding the right man for the job is another story.

Paterno has outdistanced all of his would be successors. There has been speculation at one time or another about former Minnesota coach Glen Mason, Kirk Ferentz of Iowa and former Pittsburgh Steelers’ coach Bill Cowher as well as internal candidates Jerry Sandusky, Fran Ganter and Bradley. But Ganter, who turned down the Michigan State job after the 1994 season, and Sandusky were pushed out of the way and Bradley, who was supposed be named associate head coach in 2004 when the Board of Trustees attempted to force Paterno into retirement after four straight losing seasons, was never elevated.

The hot rumor this year is ESPN commentator Urban Meyer, who had an unbeaten, BCS season at Utah and won two national championships at Florida in 2006 and 2008. But Meyer, who has a history of medical problems caused by stress, will not come cheap. He was making $4 million in Gainesville, which could be sticker shock for Spanier. Al Golden of Miami, a former Penn State captain and assistant who has upgraded the image of that scandal-plagued school in his first year there, is another viable possibility if he has an out clause in his contract.

But there has not been that must-have candidate who has been considered a lock to bring back memories of Joe Paterno-coached Penn State teams in the late 1960s, ’70s and ’80s or 1994, when the Lions went 12-0, won the Big Ten and finished second in the AP poll after blasting Oregon, 38-20, in the Rose Bowl.

Change may be in the wind here in the near future. But this program will always have Paterno’s fingerprints all over it.

If you look ten years into the future, what players do you think will be at the top of the ATP and WTA game?

And what players do you think will have dominated and won lots of Grand Slams? If I look into future I see Nadal with between 15-20 Grand Slams, Djokovic with 5 or 6 Grand Slams and Murray with 2 Grand Slams. On the WTA tour I think Azarenka will have about 3 Grand Slams and Wozniacki with about 5. I even think players like Pavlyuchenkova and Kvitova could have Grand Slams. What do you think?

And also, I was recently looking at pictures of Marion Bartoli, and I think she is smoking hot. Would you agree? I’d like to hear your thoughts:)

Kei Nishikori – This guy is the face of Japan. He’s been climbing up the rankings steadily. He’s been in 2 ATP finals (1-1). Also made the R16 @ US Open (was it 2009?) when he beat David Ferrer. Definately an all around player. He should reach the coveted #45 spot before Roland Garros and be the highest ranked Japanese male singles player of all time. I’d love to see him break into the top 10.

Ryan Sweeting – He’s another young talent. Came off a win in Houston a couple weeks ago.

Milos Raonic – Everyone loves him…besides me. Even though I don’t like him, I think he’ll be @ the top of the game because he has tested virtually every player in the top 20.

Aleksander Dolgopolov – See above

Grigor Dimitrov – He’s young, sup to be big talent. Haven’t seen it yet, but I’ll wait…

NOTE – I didnt put Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, etc in because in 10 years they will be 33+ years old. So they’ll be ending their careers within 10 years. If you asked this question looking 5 years in advance, they’d be on my list.

WTA:

I dont even know if the WTA will exist in 10 years. There is hardly any talent that could compare to the greats of the 80′s-early 2000′s. There will be a couple random people but nobody worth talking about.

And this is also a QUADRUPLE ELIMINATION!!!!! Not 2, not 3, but FOUR players will be eliminated from the island.

Each player was furiously seraching for the hidden immunity idol, until Kei Nishikori found it while he was meditating. The plague idol has been put into play just for this week only, which has been discovered by Agnes Szavay. Szavay talked it over with her ally, Novak Djokovic, and chose to hand the idol to Elena Dementieva. Now Dementieva gets into a fight with Szavay because they were actually close friends, unlike Szavay and Krumm.

Rafael Nadal goes swimming, and everyone takes a picture of him…even Novak Djokovic (it was only a matter of time). He catches a lobster, and everyone is happy, except Djokovic who goes off somewhere. Victoria Azarenka accidently “catches” Novak Djokovic doing “you know what”. Azarenka makes a loud screech, like her tennis screach, and Novak Djokovic hurriedly zips his pants. But he accidentally catches himself and caught. He furiously tries to get it off but part of his skin rips off and he has to use a banana leaf as a bandaid. He runs away and starts crying, too hurt by the pain. He comes back shaken up and eats some of the remaining lobster.
